تیری قبائیں اوڑھ کے گل سا سنور گئے 

ہم تجھ کو ڈھونڈتے ہوئے ہر اک نگر گئے 

اک خواب کے فسوں میں پکارا جو تیرا نام

دشت خیال میں ترے موسم نکھر گئے 

تُو نے چُھوا مجھے تو مرے روم روم سے

خوشبو کے قافلے اٹھے دالان بھر گئے 

کتنے سراب آنکھ کے صحرا میں قید تھے 

دیکھا تجھے تو نخل کے رستے ابھر گئے 

تتلی سے رنگ چاہیے جگنو سے روشنی

معصوم طفل کیا ہوئے؟  ارماں کدھر گئے؟ 

بارش کی دوستی نہ تھی صحرا کی ریت سے

تو نے اٹھائے ہاتھ تو بادل اُدھر گئے 

تیری ہتھیلی چوم کے کلیوں نے باس لی 

صد رنگ پھول ہنس کے ہوا میں بکھر گئے 

تو خلق و خدا کو ابھی درمیاں نہ لا 

ہم تیرے انتظار میں جاں سے گزر گئے 

وصل و وداع کا فرق ہی مابین اب نہیں

تم اس طرح سے روح کے اندر اتر گئے

Adorning your shoulders, we became like blooming flowers,

Searching for you, we traversed every town.

In the threads of a dream, your name echoed,

In the desert of imagination, your seasons gleamed.

When you touched me, every corner of my being felt it,

Caravans of fragrance rose, filling every lane.

How many mirages were trapped in the desert of my eyes,

Upon seeing you, paths of palm trees sprouted.

Desiring colors from a butterfly, brightness from fireflies,

What happened to the innocent child? Where did aspirations go?

Friendship with rain wasn’t from the desert’s sand,

As you raised your hands, clouds gathered there.

The buds kissed by your fingertips took flight,

A hundred hues of flowers scattered in the air.

Don’t bring a divide between creation and the divine,

In waiting for you, we passed through life with fervor.

The difference between union and farewell is no more,

You entered the soul in such a way.
